Triunfo Participações e Investimentos (TPI) has won a 7.15bn-real (US$3.02bn) tender for the concession of Brazil's federal highways BR-060, BR-153 and BR-262, according to documents from the auction held at the São Paulo stock exchange, Bovespa.
Contemplating 1,177km of highway stretches in all, the project involves installing 11 tollbooths and widening 648km of roads before the fifth year of the concession. The stretches run through the Federal District and the states of Goiás and Minas Gerais,
Launched by national ground transport agency ANTT, the winning bid was based on the lowest toll charge offered. The ceiling price was set at 5.94 reais per 100km. TPI won with a bid of 2.85 reais. The company's broker is Planner.
Coming in second was Invepar and its broker Spinelli, with a bid of 3.43 reais per 100km. The tender represents the largest federal highway concession contract awarded this year.
Coming in third with a proposal of 3.49 reais was the Via Capital consortium. It is composed of Ecorodovias, Coimex Empreendimentos, Rio Novo Locações, Tervap Pitanga Mineração, Contek Engenharia, A. Madeira Indústria, and Urbesa Administração. The group's broker is Itáu Corretora.
The Rodovias Federais 2013 consortium offered 3.68 reais per 100km. The group is made up of Queiroz Galvão Desenvolvimento de Negócios and Construtora Queiroz Galvão. Its broker is Coinvalores Corretora de Câmbio.
Finally, Companhia de Participações em Concessões (CPC) and broker Codepe offered 4.66 reais.
