Brazilian e-security company Modulo Security has become the first IT security company in the world to achieve ISO 27001 certification, Modulo said in a statement.

ISO 27001 certification indicates that the company strives to meet ISO standards for implementing information security management systems. The norm was incorporated by ISO in October 2005.

The certification boosts Modulo Security's international expansion plans which are focused on exporting its risk analysis and knowledge management Check-up Tool software.
