Govt agency's irrigation investments to reach US$40mn this year

Bolivia's national irrigation service (Senari) expects its spending on projects to reach almost US$40mn this year, state news agency ABI reported.

The some 50 projects that received funding represent an additional 50,000ha in irrigated land across the country, said Senari's director, Delfín Reque.

The largest share of the spending went to Santa Cruz department in Bolivia's eastern lowlands.
