Ecuador's national water authority Senagua plans to launch a tender to redesign the Misbaque multi-purpose water project in Manabi province's Paján canton.
The designs will replace outdated plans developed by local authorities from Jipijapa and Paján in 1986, according to a company release.
The awardee will prepare final designs for a 20Mm3 reservoir, an irrigation system for 3,390ha and potable water distribution systems. The works have an estimated cost of US$22mn.
Senagua plans to invest US$2.1bn in irrigation and flood control projects by 2016.
